Hello, I'm Melanie! I've been in the hair industry for 12 years, where I've developed a passion for dimensional highlighting, creative color, custom haircuts, and hair extensions. I love creating personalized looks that complement each guest's individual style and goals. One of my favorite parts of being behind the chair is the consultation. I enjoy taking the time to truly understand what each guest wants, creating a thoughtful game plan, and making sure they leave feeling confident and excited about their hair. Over the years, I've continued expanding my education and skills, particularly in the world of hair extensions, allowing me to offer even more ways for guests to enhance their style and feel their best. As co-owner of Empowered Beauty, I'm passionate about creating a salon where both our guests and our stylists feel welcomed, valued, and inspired. Building a space that offers high-quality services while fostering genuine connections and a strong sense of community has always been important to me. I'm proud of what we've created at Empowered Beauty and excited to continue growing alongside our incredible team and the community we serve.

Hi! My name is Morgan, and I've been a part of the salon industry for 7 years. I began my career as an esthetician, and after several years in the industry, I fell in love with the salon environment and wanted to expand my skills. That led me back to school at Model College of Hair Design in St. Cloud to pursue my Cosmetology license. I've always had a passion for helping people look and feel their best. I love that every client is unique and enjoy customizing each service to fit their individual needs, style, and goals. I offer a variety of hair services, including cutting and coloring, along with esthetic services such as eyelash extensions, sugaring, waxing, brow lamination, and lash lifts and tints. Whether you're looking for a fresh new look or a little self-care, I strive to create an experience where you feel confident, comfortable, and cared for. I hope to see you in my chair soon!

Hello, I’m Danette! I went to cosmetology school at Regency Beauty Institute in Maplewood, MN. I’ve been working the Glenwood area as a stylist for the last 14 years, but have nearly two decades of experience in the beauty industry. After years of developing skills in all hair services, my passion is tailoring my techniques in foiling to suite the unique look my guests desire! Beyond my professional pursuits, my loving husband and our three kids spend our quality time enjoying summer and the outdoors! We love exploring new places to camp as often as possible. When you’ve been doing hair for as long as I have, you no longer just see your clients as customers but as cherished friends! I love getting to hear about what is new with their lives and being along for the journey. I offer an extensive range of services, including haircuts, color services, and waxing! I look forward to the opportunity of working with you to achieve your hair goals!

Hello, I’m Bailey! I grew up right here in Pope County, I love having the opportunity to build my career and be a part of the community that has always felt like home. I graduated from Nova Academy of Cosmetology in Mankato, MN, where I began my career and continued building my education and technical skills at a salon before returning home to Glenwood. Since then, I've continued investing in advanced education and am proud to be a certified Invisible Bead Extensions stylist. Behind the chair, my goal is to create customized looks that help each guest feel confident and like the best version of themselves. I especially love building genuine relationships with my clients creating an experience where you can relax, have fun, and leave feeling amazing. I offer a variety of hair color services, hair extensions, lash extensions, and facial waxing. I'm passionate about continuing my education, refining my skills, and growing within the beauty industry. I can't wait to welcome you into my chair!

Hi, I'm Emma! I went to cosmetology school at The Salon Professional Academy in Fargo, ND, before coming back home to Alexandria, where I grew up. After two amazing years behind the chair in Alexandria, I'm so excited to have found my new salon home here at Empowered Beauty! My family recently moved to Glenwood, and I'm passionate about blondes, lived-in color, dimension brunettes, customized color and precision haircuts. I love creating healthy, low-maintenance styles that feel effortless and grow out seamlessly. I'm all about getting to know my clients, understanding their hair goals, and creating a look that feels like them. Hello, I’m Valerie! I grew up in Brandon and graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in Fargo. I've been in the beauty industry for nearly 2 years, and I've loved the opportunity to continue developing my skills while building genuine relationships with my clients. Blonding has become one of my favorite services because of the detail and creativity that goes into creating a beautiful, customized result. I enjoy working with each client to understand their hair goals and create a look that complements their individual style. I also offer a variety of other hair services and am always excited to continue learning and expanding my skills as a stylist. What I love most about being a hairstylist is the confidence that a great hair appointment can bring. Helping someone feel beautiful, refreshed, and confident is what makes this career so rewarding. I graduated from Paul Mithcell the School in Spokane, WA, and have spent nearly a decade behind the hair, continually growing my skills, investing in advanced education, and refining my craft as a stylist. Throughout my career, I've become passionate about creating personalized looks and experiences that make each client feel confident and truly like themselves. I've seen first hand how something as simple as a new look can completely change the way someone feels, which became the inspiration behind the name Empowered Beauty. Because when you feel your best, you feel empowered. After years away, I recently returned to my hometown in Idaho with a new perspective, a growing passion for the beauty industry, and an even greater appreciation for the community that shaped me. While I'm no longer behind the chair in Minnesota, I'm proud to continue my career in the industry as co-owner of Empowered Beauty. Today, I'm passionate about creating a salon environment where our guests feel welcomed, confident, and cared for, while are stylists feel supported and inspired to grow. I love being involved in the creative and business side of the salon and watching our team build meaningful relationships with their clients and grow in their own careers.
